Hell, in Ohio it was only about 2-3%, in Iowa, NM & NV a fraction of a percent. Whisker close in Colo and damned close in VA, not to mention very respectable in NC.
Kerry comes out clear in the beginning opposing the war and doesn't trip all over the place with the "voted for before I voted against" and the "nuanced", painful explanations of his war resolution vote, saying instead that he voted that way because he trusted W and didn't know he was lying about WMD and Kerry probably wins.

So we ain't talking about moving mountains here.
