I asked the woman who answered the phone to let me know how a gay marriage ban in Ohio would keep me, in Seattle, safer from terrorism. I told her how they didn't inspect our containers at the port, and how all our cars had to be checked for bombs on the ferries.

She said, "well, I don't know about that...." and I got so mad I yelled at her and told her she was immoral and hung up!

When I discovered that Bush won based on voters who believed he was "morally superior" and that "he's protecting Americans from terrorist attacks," I thought I might try to debate Republicans by beginning with this statement:

"Explain to me how being morally superior and protecting Americans from terrorist attacks will..."

i.e.,
"Explain to me how being morally superior and protecting Americans from terrorist attacks will strengthen Social Security?"

"Explain to me how being morally superior and protecting Americans from terrorist attacks will free up access to lesser expensive prescription drugs?"

"Explain to me how being morally superior and protecting Americans from terrorist attacks will expand job growth?"

Make the GOPers explain how their boy's only (shallow) attributes, "morally superior" and "protecting Americans from terrorist attacks," will lead to solutions for ALL the country's problems
