Republicans: The New "Red Menace"

Their "menace" originates that they are cloaking hatred, racism, homophobia, and domination in a facade of "moral values" and the flag/patriotism. This is an ideological wolf in sheep's clothing, a fundamentally hypocritical position. There is nothing moral about hatred. There is nothing patriotic about racism. And nothing American about domination. It is tyranny in new Americanized form.

This is our true enemy, and we must face it.

We avoid talking religion and politics, but these social prohibitions must be lifted. We cannot win if minds are not changed, and this does not happen without debate, without addressing the issues head on. We must get over our timidity on these issues. Are they divisive? Yes. Will we get into arguments with friends and neighbors? Yes. Is it necessary to do it anyway? Absolutely. Not simply because it is the only way to change their minds, but also so they can see the vehemence with which we resist them and the acrimony that results from their policy goals. Only that will make them THINK about what they are doing, and having thought, to possibly change course.
