So this young man rings my doorbell a minute ago |

He was probably 19 or 20. He was trying to sell magazine subscriptions so he and his soccer team could go to Hawaii for some match.
I told him that I wasn't interested and didn't really want to spend money right now. He made a crack about me not having any money and having a new car in the driveway. That pissed me off, so I said, "Yes, I have a new car but with the results of the election, I am very nervous about the future and am trying to save as much as possible right now."
We should have left it there.
He comes back by saying, "Well, I'm glad that Bush won. He did an OK job the first four years. Don't you think he deserves a second chance?"
Me: "Good Lord, no! He is the worst president in my memory and he got us into an unnessary war that will bankrupt our nation both financially and morally."
I then told him that I was not going to get into politics with him because I had work to do. He said that that was fine because he could tell he wasn't going to "sell" me anyway.
Dumb ass. There was an example of our youth vote that got away.
And to think, my day was not as bad as yesterday until soccer boy came to my door.

2. You can tell him that since Bush* won |
|
he can look forward to carrying his soccer ball to Iraq or Afghanistan once he gets drafted. (No college deferments this time) You could have phone numbers to the local recruiting office, since a good patriot like him would be more than willing to volunteer to die for oil, uh, I mean go fight the war on terror.

3. Maybe his soccer team could.... |
|
go to Old Europe and play; he'll get an earful and a reality slap, there. Or he could join the military and play soccer (in his free-time, if there is free-time) in Iraq, or Afghanistan or Iran or whatever is next....

Those people are usually scammers. There's a huge scam in that sort of thing, you can google for it. I had one come to my door not long ago.

7. I figured that was the case |
|
He was too smooth to be just a soccer player trying to get to Hawaii.
I guess if he was a criminal, then that explains why he likes Bush. You know, criminals hang together.
