I've decided to bid farewell to DU. Not out of pique or frustration but simply because I have other things to do. Too many good books to read, chores undone, a grumbling wife, and just plain enjoying my retirement.

It's been fun, enlightening, frustrating, humbling, passionate, silly, and time consuming.

To my leftist friends: Keep up the good fight. A party without principles isn't worthy of governing.

To the moderates: Well...adieu.

To Skinner: Who I have spent a goodly part of this morning arguing with, thank you for the rather bumpy ride.

My apologies to those I have been intemperate with, and even a bit childish at times.

Many of you have won my admiration. Some my scorn.

I leave you with my one of my favorite quotes:

3. I want to say goodbye for similar reasons.

Trying to plant the seeds here since about late 2002 was fun. But compared to some other things that one could do, not so productive. I think it might be time to focus on the more productive stuff.
