Gays DID NOT lose the election, dammit--from a straight Christian. |

Bullshit. Total bullshit. They didn't. Period.
I'm a straight, married, Christian female.
Ignorance cost us the election. The problem with big D Democratic values is that they are, well, nuanced.
Terrorism was cited as much as the "moral values" whatever you call it, but we aren't even addressing it here on DU.
We ALL know Kerry was easily the best response we had to terrorism, yet we lost on that issue too.
Stop blaming PEOPLE, and look at the logistical problems first.
This yellow-dog doesn't want to be a part of a party that excludes ANYONE who shares a fundamental belief in the role of government in our lives. I'll fight to have gay and lesbian issues included in our platform.
Two days out, and we're ready to throw a HUGE amount of our most activist, intelligent, and savvy party members. I won't do it, and any true Democrat shouldn't either.
Who's next? The Latinos, many of whom voted for Bunny?
That isn't my party--that's THEM.

2. Exactly, and the anti-gay propositions were devised to get out that vote, |
