because Kerry did not want to get a sympathy vote....anyone else just hear that? Apparently, Kerry knew about this for a long time and did not want it to get out to the public....

1. i heard on Franken's show
that she put off getting the full tests until after the election so she wouldn't miss any campaign stops.

Either way I don't see how E.E. having breast cancer would have swung the election our way anywhoo.

helped with the women's vote. It's an interesting question. I have no doubt EE didn't get tested because she didn't want to distract her husband and because she wanted to keep fighting up to the end of the campaign. So I guess in that respect, there isn't much point in this discussion.

2. If that's true then I have no use for Kerry...
I don't think that anyone's illness should be exploited, but winning this election was too important. If she said not to I can understand, but if it was Kerry's choice then screw him. Maybe being a super rich politician means he really can't relate to the common man.

Remember, this evil SOB in the White House will get to pick at least two supreme court justices.

That's pretty fucking important IMO.

4. Illness is always a negative
That's the unfortunate downside to any mention of it.
Geez, the next thing people would have been talking about was how Kerry had cancer a year ago.
