Anyone have stats on voter education levels...
Edited on Thu Nov-04-04 05:20 PM by zoeb
I heard the other day that over 60 maybe 63% of Kerry voters had a college degree compared to 30% for Bush. I told a Bush supporter with a GED that only rural, uneducated people voted for his guy (Bush). Actually I said the dumber half of America voted for Bush...anyway I sort of regret saying it but I was still wondering if anyone has a link or something.

Thanks:thumbsup:

2. Proof they'll give a college degree to anyone nowadays.
BTW these stats would seem to refute the notion of people voting against their economic interests.

3. People without a high school diploma swarmed toward Bush
That was the only significant change from 2000 to 2004. Gore carried that group 59-39, but Kerry only 50-49. Still, that group made up only 4% of voters. Here's the CNN link to the nationwide exit poll sample: http://www.cnn.com/ELECTION/2004/pages/results/states/US/P/00/epolls.0.html

No High School (4%) Bush 49% Kerry 50%
H.S. Graduate (22%) Bush 52% Kerry 47%
Some College (32%) Bush 54% Kerry 46%
College Graduate (26%) Bush 52% Kerry 46%
Postgrad Study (16%) Bush 44% Kerry 55%
