I honestly think Michael is a true American hero, but I wonder if his "in-your-face" presence may have alienated too many swing voters. Maybe I'm wrong, but I wonder if he should've taken more of a back seat during the election and just let his movie do the talking on its own great merits, and not try to shove it down people's throats who were not going to watch it anyway.

Anyway, now that they've stolen the election again, I hope Michael continues doing what he does best, exsposing scumbags like Bush for what they are...outright criminals.

1. Nope. Not at all. He brought thousands to the table who would
not have been there otherwise. And he inspired the Dems and got them riled up and enthused.

No, the loss was not the fault of Kerry or Michael Moore or Bruce Springsteen or Barbra Streisand. We were up against almost insurmountable odds - incumbent, war-time, Bush and GOP machine.

It's time to look at why this party does not get majority votes in MOST of the states, esp. those between the two coasts. THAT'S the problem, I think. OR maybe it's the fact that a lot of Dem. voters don't even bother to vote. Although this time we had a record turnout.

8. Let's face it our election system is broken.
While we concentrated on getting people to vote, not enough people were concentrating on getting the votes counted. Early scuttlebutt tells of votes neither counted or even lost and those were the ones that could be verified.

I say, we need to have shadow elections to verify votes if our government doesn't implement a system of verifying the votes, a double entry system, like any business would have to verify their revenues.

2. Oh well, gee, why don't we all take a vacation to Paris or
someplace with Michael and let the swing voters swing in the breeze. Michael can show his movie to the choir. We can't get those swing voters upset with the truth now can we?

16. Excellent points
Just the same, I hope no one's mistaking me for thinking I don't want Michael to be "too in your face" in general. I do. That's the way he is and that's why I like him as much as I do. I just don't know if he should've been so in people's faces during the campaign.

15. Moore is brilliant. And he never tried to shove his film
down people's throats. The only people he offended, as far as I could tell, were the rightwingers, who were trying to shove their propaganda down people's throats.

It's impossible to do an expose' if you're worried that people might think you have too much of an "in your face" presence.
