Can the Democrats sell the American public on civil rights?

Can the Democrats sell the American public on civil rights?
including gay marriage/civil unions, pro-choice... (maybe we should cave on the gun issue - and go all out embracing freedoms in the constitution - and regain rights to not be searched, etc. also), freedom to vote....(I would add healthcare access)...

Look - advertisers can get millions to buy Coke, Pepsi, Water, bad Beer, whatever...

We ought to be able to sell civil rights as Democratic issues.


I think the DNC needs to get their act together on a marketing campaign.
