3. Number 14.
"14. Bush is now a lame duck president. He will have no greater moment than the one he's having this week. It's all downhill for him from here on out -- and, more significantly, he's just not going to want to do all the hard work that will be expected of him. It'll be like everyone's last month in 12th grade -- you've already made it, so it's party time! Perhaps he'll treat the next four years like a permanent Friday, spending even more time at the ranch or in Kennebunkport. And why shouldn't he?"

13. Maybe not

I think Bush or at least his staff will be in presidential legacy mode for at least the next two years.

They always seem to start worrying what history will say about them.

7. Thats a bit sad
It seems he has no proof of the fraud and given into the fact that Bush will be president for the next four years. Its nice that he is trying to be positive, I wish I could be like that, but I cant.

8. No. 6
"Michigan voted for Kerry! So did the entire Northeast, the birthplace of our democracy. So did 6 of the 8 Great Lakes States. And the whole West Coast! Plus Hawaii. Ok, that's a start. We've got most of the fresh water, all of Broadway, and Mt. St. Helens. We can dehydrate them or bury them in lava. And no more show tunes!"

What we've got is the majority of both coasts.

We should take over the ports.

Hard to haul all that crap from China to Wal-Mart without 'em.

But overall, it's scant comfort. Nothing much cheers me up except the knowledge that the pendulum swings right, and then it swings left. It never stops swinging.

But it will not swing fast enough to stop a lot of us from being badly hurt.

I think of Jean, a dear woman who is the mother of a close friend, and a Catholic Ohioan who voted for Kerry. She told her daughter that things will certainly change again for the better, but that she (in her 70s) will not live to see it happen. I wonder if I will.

9. #5 - If the Democrats do their job,
Edited on Fri Nov-05-04 02:06 AM by LSK
If the Democrats do their job, Bush won't be able to pack the Supreme Court with right-wing ideologues. Did I say "if the Democrats do their job?" Um, maybe better to scratch this one.

12. I don't like his #9 one bit.
That's not OK Michael. Not now. It's bad enough that we are getting blamed for losing the election for Kerry without you making funny over our misfortune at being the bottom rung of the American bigot's ladder.

Fuck you, Michael.

14. Michael Moore is a greater American than John Kerry, IMHO.
If I'm still in this country in 2008, I'm writing him in.
