Let It Crash....
You know, I am so sick of trying to explain the world to morons. I am a thirty-something white male surrounded by the same. Some of these idiots are even my friends. Most are Republicans for all the typical, ridiculous reasons....tough guy machismo, bigotry, chickenhawkism, whatever. These guys are everywhere, with their sneering John "Hanoi" Kerry jokes, chain e-mails disparaging Democrats. Our next nominee, it will be new jokes, the same disparaging crap. Most of these clowns went grew up in fairly comfortable middle class backgrounds (you know, the class leftists created), went to good schools (you know, the ones leftists insisted exist), went to some college on student loans, now work some mid-level corporate job in which they think their hot shit and pull the old GOP routine to think they fit in, at lunch they eat hamburgers without worry, afterall, they were inspected by the government. Most of these morons wouldn't even know what "The Jungle" by Sinclair Lewis was.

My point here is, lets let the whole fucking thing crash. I'm sick of fighting for these hypocrites. Do I believe in social justice and progress? Yes, I do. Strongly. However, you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink.

So let the whole fucker crash. Repeal the New Deal. Repeal Social Security. Repeal every social safety net there is. And that includes bank regulations that insure these assholes money. Repeal farm subsidies. Lets turn Kansas back into the pre-FDR dust bowl of yore.

Crash the whole fucking system. Then in 20 years, when these jackasses come crawling back to us, we can reimplement everything and make even further progress....finally. But it just ain't happening now until this country learns a very hard lesson.

5. yes, but we will have each other to hep survive..
they will not know what to do. I've spent a lot of time trying to explain to the Mepublicans (I call them that because they care about no one but themselves) that once they have squeezed the little guy for all he's got, they'll come after them. This is a monster that will eventually feed on itself.

Earlier I posted that the Me Generation finally grew up and it's still all about me, me, me. I am sick of people who can't see past their own tax cut.

13. Yes. Let them eat cake.
Let's allow them (and even encourage them) to cut everything at the federal level. We can move to blue states and make up for it at the state level, while letting the red states hang themselves with their own rope.

9. there is a grace in that logic
and this is what i have told my boys. we already are aware. we have the facts we did our homework. too many people didnt. this is their lesson. and it is going to so be made clear to all. how do i know. the first four years. doesnt take much to know a fuck up when you actually look and can see.

total destruction may be the only way for these people to get past the judging and hate and bigotry and greed and self centeredness. i dont know anything subtler that would do it

god whispers to you, then taps you on the soldier then yells a bit then a brick up side the head. all these people may be at the brick up side the head time

so hunker down. women are in for an assault. gays, field day in hating. blacks and mexicans, they are coming for you too.

for fear of 1st degree flame burns.

LET THE STOCK MARKET CRASH like a MoFo! I'm ALREADY living in poverty. I'm disabled, on Medicare and medicaid as well as is my DISABLED Veteran husband, my daughter is in PRISON for drug addiction, I'm living in substandard housing ala the "gracious" HUD program while it rips of YOUR TAX DOLLARs {housing quality does not match up to rental costs, and we are "teetering" to lose housing anyway} ...it's a real crime this one, members of my family are uninsured or underinsured (I went for 20 years w/o HC!}..WE "people" are going to be eating MORE shit (and dying) very shortly...........SO LET THE FUCKING STOCK MARKET CRASH.

All of a sudden, I have extreme disdain for "American Capitalism"

EAT THE RICH and everyone who supports them!!!!!!!!!!!!

21. Personally, I would be interested to see every one who
knows what's going on leave the country. And for all Democrats to resign and leave as well.

I know it's not feasible, but it would be nice to watch the corporations bleed the 'mepublicans' dry and watch every thing fall apart.

The problem is that these poor pathetic fools would STILL blame Clinton for their problems. They would curse us while we let them fall into the economic sinkhole they voted for.

I'm all for letting their asses fry.
But they will never learn - it's a shame natural selection doesn't work that way anymore...

24. Oh, SOME will learn, but it will be TOO LATE by then...
I'd leave here in a heartbeat!! if I could afford it in terms of money and if a country would take us: being disabled and poor n all...

Matter of fact, I know of a group of Activist christians who left for Canada, lock stock and barrel, last spring...they predicted that politics/fascism would come down exactly like this. I am stunned by their accuracy.

I really would. I want nothing more than to see it crash. The only problem is, we're going down with them. I don't want that. I don't want to never find another job. I don't want to lose my house. But if it burns down because of their utter stupidity. We go with them.

And that sucks, big time.

14. I knew we had lost control of these people when
we couldn't stop them from invading Iraq. Then things got so bad there and even with the lessons of Vietnam we couldn't stop them. Why? I think our own leadership is just as corrupt so they were afraid to stop them. So apparently we can't stop them, YET. We will though and they will help us because once the candy store is empty, there won't be anything left but a bunch of pissed off starved people ready for revenge.

15. Better yet, migrate to canada
I am seriously considering it.

Just imagine if the smartest, brightest stars of the US (read: the liberals) left the US to just the knuckledraggers and neandertals.

This place would be a nice 3rd world vacation spot for us new Canadians snowbirds.

16. I agree

I think the only thing that is going to turn us around is another great depression. I hate to see it happen, but the only way to convince most of these Boosh voting people is to let them suffer personally. The suffering of others means nothing to those with no compassion. They can never learn compassion until they have had a big lesson in humility.

27. Ha! They've written humility right out of their bible
and I doubt they'd figure it out, anyway. Same people, same face. Right-wing authoritarians and the problems that they've given all of mankind, the whole of the way.

For me, it's not the poor, not the environment, it's that these people don't have any fucking respect for the fact that before liberals, the whole world was made up of the corrupt church and the king -- and that they're doing their darndest to put it back that way.

They've fooled everyone into thinking they're for freedom -- but they need the big government just as much as any commie. You guys are saying let it crash -- I say we speed it up by giving them all the bullshit that they've promised their dumb constituents. Let's abolish the income tax, let's collapse into a confederation of states, let the poor come up their driveways.

Last night, someone posted this quote: "No one ever walks away from an empire," and they meant it, I think, as a warning to those of us who would be complacent. I think of it as a warning to them.

17. Flat Taxes Baby...Hit 'Em Where It Hurts
I think the IRS is unconstitutional and should be abolished on that principal, but I'm not the only one who hate 'em...so do the GOOP. Fine. I'm all for not having to pay an accountant and file taxes every 3 months. Then let's see how they react when their vanted military is out of money or there's not the pork for the useless defense contracting plant in their district.

I also say let's privitize Social Security...in fact, let's just kill the system...everyone cashes out and the government has to cash checks to every WORKING man and woman whose paid in over the years. For some that could be a nice chunk of change they could invest with an international banker and make some nice money off the Euro on it .

I'd love to see the Democrats pick up on the concept of a Balance Budget Ammendment...forcing this Repugnican regime to live within' its means. Soon the debt ceiling will be raised, the treasury will be raided again and the debt and interest rates will soar...not to mention the long overdue inflation that's been building with the run up of consumer and oil prices.

Next week I meet with my financial planner...my first move will be to liquidate my remaining stocks by the end of the year (I'm gonna ride this artificial bump and make a couple bucks) then start off-shoring my money. Hey, if it works for the big guys, why not me?

19. End Red State Welfare
Read it on Kos and here and there within DU threads. Blue states give out more tax dollars than they take back from the federal government. Farm subsidies are a big part of this and many of those are agri-corp farms. Highways through desolate Wyoming to be maintained by "blue dollars"

End the hated welfare program---the one that hands out filty liberal tax dollars to Red States. I'm sure they will get on board, after all, they hate us, our values and "hand outs."

Let it start with that.

20. I don't fight for those people.
They've always come out OK in this country. The people I fight for are the people I grew up with -- poor, black, and living in a world without the expectations they should have.

One of the things I hate most about Bush is that I knew, as a kid, dozens of other kids who were far more talented than he is, but they ended up flipping burgers or selling drugs or in jail, or dead, because they didn't have the advantages that he did. If they got Cs in school, they didn't go to college, and they sure as hell didn't go to Yale. When the draft came, no one was there to get them a cushy spot in the National Guard -- they went to Vietnam and, in some cases, died there.

I bet you know people like that, too. They might be the ones who clean your building at night; you see them when you stay late on a project. Or they might be a shift manager in the fast food restaurant you drive through. Or they might drive the bus that takes you to or from work. Those people are all around us -- invisible to you as their potential is invisible to them.

And those are the people who will suffer the most in a George Bush America, not the people you work with. Your co-workers have middle class expectations, educations, and contacts. One way or another, those people are going to do fine. And they know it -- that's why they are so smug; that's why they can thumb their noses at the rest of the world and vote for Bush. It's just their way of saying, "Fuck you -- I've got mine."

22. isn't the answer in building community?
To starve the beast and survive, we must build community with each other. We're going to have to double up on housing, share cars, barter, help each other out.

If you're living in the middle of them, move where people are more liberal. Go in with a dozen people and buy a farm. Make intentional families if yours are offensive Bushies.

We have to think differently now.

25. cultural divide and you speak the truth n/t
It amazes me how identity, so easily manipulated by propaganda,
gets an entire group to act not in their own best interest.

I worked at a major corporation where this was used...corporate culture...
I saw through it, knew the company would fuck me on a dime...
they didn't...later they outsourced the jobs (I had left long ago)
and these people were in shock and lost their identity as being part of the company.

What they didn't realize is they created it by ignoring what was going on previously and just towing the party line and blaming the ones who did get hurt as "losers".

Incredible and shows the power of crowd control and other sociological techniques.

Anyway, there is something about America, a need for a hate object or something that causes this.
