Ok, even if a few hundred thousand were stolen, this is still denying an important fact.

About 9 million MORE people decided to vote for Bush after the past 4 years. Yep, that's right. He didn't lose support over the last several years. He GAINED it.

That's disturbing folks. It would make me feel better to know that a majority of the people don't feel this way...but they do.

My state incidentally went the opposite way of the national popular vote margin (51-48), but it doesn't really make me feel any better. It still tells me that around half the population has fascist tendancies to some degree.

This has left me stunned. Not so much that he won (I always figured this could go either way), but the fact that he clearly won a majority in the popular vote. The fact that millions more decided to see all shit happening these past years and thought - hey why not give him another 4?!

1. yes, it doesn't have to be just one or the other, it CAN be both
i do believe there was some fraud and republicans being assholes.

but i also believe there was a large amount of right wingers who came out , mostly for the anti gay measures on the ballot. this can be seen in solid red states also which had an increase. that's how bush got much of his higher popular vote.

we have to work on voting issues. but we also have to acknowledge the large amount of conservative leaners out there who are VERY different from us and have a lot of power to make a difference in elections.
