We need to muster our strength to fight
I'm reading a book right now that I think each one of us needs to read. I don't know the man who edited it and I don't have any financial investment in this book. That said, it is balm for the grieving soul of which there are many here on this board (hell, most of the souls here, I'd say).

The book is THE IMPOSSIBLE WILL TAKE A LITTLE WHILE, A Citizens Guide to Hope in a Time of Fear edited by Paul Rogat Loeb

I've read some interviews by him on Buzzflash and also in the local rag put out by the homeless here in Seattle, Real Change. He is a man with a great and strong soul.

If you choose to buy this book and can afford the slight extra cost, please do as I did and buy it from Buzzflash.com. They are doing important work and could use the money to continue their work.

Oh, and BTW, there is another book that can help to galvanize you after this other book helps to heal you. The Greatest Sedition Is Silence : Four Years in America by William Rivers Pitt. You might have heard of this guy. He's a bit of a firebrand (there's an understatement. LOL) but a damn fine writer. This book is one of the most inspiring books I have ever read and has not been read by as large an audience as it should have been.

1. Echo chamber
I'm fairly sure that some people have read this post o' mine and are probably even looking into buying these wonderful books. That said, no one is commenting on it and so it is sliding into oblivion. So, I will repost this after I get off my plane this evening - in other words, in daylight hours when most people aren't sleeping.

The hazard of being a night shift worker is that I'm up when the vast majority of DUers are asleep.
