I personally think something was rotten in Florida, and probably Ohio.
Look at Maryland. We had BBV. Kerry won MD by 13%. Barbara Mikulski won re-election to the Senate by 30%.
Why would 17% of Mikulski voters vote for Bush? I do not buy it. The Pukes forgot to rig the Senate race. Kerry got too many votes for them to steal it.

1. We need to get us youngin's to the polls, why'll the old folks
have their eye off the ball.

Ballot initiatives. What are some that would attract young digruntled voters?

How about one that slaps on a $20/month user fee for internet service, because of pirated music, software, and movies. The funds of which will go to the RIAA, MPAA, and Microsoft?

You think that one might get us off our asses to go vote? You betcha!

If you need signatures, do what the repubs do, lie about it and make them think they're signing something else.

2. They cheated...
And despite ALL of the evidence from 2000, there are still enough dumb people to allow it to happen again. Like I said the other day, this election has made a misanthrope out of me.

3. Well
I knew they were going to cheat but I thought we had enough people riled up such that their cheating wasn't going to be enough. I was wrong. We had a majority but it was too slim. They cheated and it was close enough that they were able to get away with it. Now, they'll scream sour grapes whenever we try to hold their feet to the fire about their cheating. It sucks.

But I'm moving on. There will be defeats like this one and there will be victories and most important of all, I am going to spend every moment making every trick they try to pull very, very difficult.

4. Yes, the fix may have been in, but it didn't matter.
I think Rove got a very pleasant surprise -- the cheating wasn't necessary. It's likely there was some, but I think that enough fundies and other repkes came out that they would have won it even without any cheating. Yes, there was probably some "diebolding," but the main reason we lost is that the American people rejected what we had to offer.

Fine. Let them live with the consequences.
