The Lexicon of Destruction
In 1990 Newt Gingrich had a GOP pollster develop a list of words and phrases that he called "the lexicon of destruction." He distributed it to all members of the GOP and instructed them to memorize the list and to use the terms every time they talked about the Democratic party. The tactic was very successful.

I've come up with our own "lexicon of destruction" to use against the GOP. The terms deal extensively with moral issues, which was the number one deciding factor with voters this election. It also deals with the economy and the war in Iraq which were numbers two and three.

Here's the list:

radical...extreme...abortion...anti-family...child abuse...spousal abuse...adultery...liars...convicted...drug abusers...closeted gays...sodomy...cheating...divorced...fiscally irresponsible..isolationist...most hated country...despised...illegitimate...anti-education...anti-government...biggest goverment in history...chickenhawk...draft dodger...warmonger...draft...failure...Bin Laden...deficit...bankrupt

We need to use these terms and terms like them every time we refer to the GOP.

A few examples:

The Bush administration is presiding over the largest deficit in American history.

It never ceases to amaze me that closeted gays such as GOP Congressman David Dreier and GOP consultant Arthur Finkelstein can be so hypocritical when it comes to gay issues.

Under the Bush administration the United States has become the most hated country in the world.

While professing a love for smaller federal government, the fact is the GOP has had larger governments over the last 40 years than any Democratic presidency. Bush heads the biggest government in history.

For a party that professes a love for "family values," there sure are a lot of adulterers within the ranks of the party. Newt Gingrich, Dan Barton, Henry Hyde, Rudy Giuliani... the list goes on and on.

You know about President Bush's widely publicised DWI arrest. What you may not know is that GOP Congressman Ken Calvert was arrested for sodomy with a prostitute in 1994. Why is this man still in office?

Feel free to suggest words and phrases that can be added to the list. We need to start attacking them every chance we get so that the attacks have a chance to make an effect before the next election. Carpet bomb them with negative messages.
