This is no time to be hopeless
For those of you who want to permanently succumb to despair, fuck you! This is the time for determination, no matter the odds. There are enough of us to fight the power!

The fundyheads didn't buckle over when the Clinton era took over...they stayed organized and determined, and look where they are. As much as I despise what they stand for, their method worked. We can even do better. Let us band together and surge on! Let us use our smarts, strength, resources, cunning, wisdom, resolve, and spirit to take back USA in the days ahead!

Do not roll over and die. Stand up resolved with your gaze forward all the way!

1. It begins only if we have honest elections. We need to PUSH for
a federal system with a paper trail and FORCE the repugs to have honest elections, we cannot win with diebold, even if only a dem ran on the ticket, it would still slant towards the write in candidate. I will not participate until there is a paper trail. Just like I wouldn't use ATM's unless I have a receipt, I want a goddam paper trial.

4. Tell me, how do we fight, when right now, the repugs have every branch?
So when the bill comes up for federal standards, they cry, "leave it to the STATES," dems just want big government! So, tell me, how do we even make a dent in a right slanted world? The deck is against anything honest and truthful. We didn't lose the presidency, we lost democracy.

5. Right now, I don't know the operational methods
but there are some who do or have good suggestions. Look for them, and learn from them...improvise if needed! If you feel democracy is lost, think of your forefathers in the 1770's.

8. We need to fight.
But we need to fight for VICTORY.
By any means necessary.
Focusing on the machines, or republican dirty tricks won't do it.
WE need to first come up with a formula for victory, not just satisfying excuses for defeat.
WE WILL win next time. We just need to read our Sun Tzu more.

3. I will eventually....
... rejoin the fight. But for right now I have to grieve. We had everything to fight for, a president who by every reasonable standard is an abject failure and still Americans are too fucking stupid to get it.

Exactly what is your plan for making stupid, vindictive, bigoted morons wise up?

I'll tell you mine. When this economy really hits the skids, when even the stupidest American understands that the Rep party wants to bankrupt the Federal government as a means of killing SS, when even the morons realize that we are not the world's economic powerhouse any more and we will soon be licking the boots of the EU and China, when all this finally comes to pass (and it will), then we can win.

Until then, people would rather make the vote about gay marriage, like that is really going to affect their lives.

It's enough to make someone sick :)

7. Interesting article, but somehow, I'm sure bush will destroy us before
that ever occurs. I see nukes in the future.

9. I just don't think many people realize....

... how badly the economic deck is stacked against this country. After 3 years of weakness, our growth rate is still weak. Job creation is weak. Energy prices are soaring. Foreign inflows of cash are not guaranteed, and when they stop all hell will break loose.

The base of real wealth creation, manufacturing, is eroding at an ever-increasing rate. Service jobs are not equivalent, as we will soon find out, Indians are not going to buy our insurance.

Absurdly low interest rates have cushioned many, and many have taken advantage of that to mortgage themselves to the hilt, some frivoluosly and many because they had no other choice.

The Republicans are so blinded by their unquestioning faith in "free markets", they cannot even acknowledge there is a problem, much less deal with it.

Americans are economically illiterate. I cannot fix that.

... it's going to get a lot worse before it gets better. Creditors don't like huge deficits as far as the eye can see.

When Americans start noticing that all manufactured goods that come from Asia (and that comprises a huge portion consumer goods) cost 50% more than they used to, they will probably just bitch about crazy price increases rather than bother to try to understand the whys and wherefores.

As you can see, I'm a bit down on the American Dumbass at the present time :)

13. It is not our fault--please do not say we can do better
we did work hard enough]
we did support our candidate with vigor
we did everything we could do and more
like never before.

It is NOT our fault.

What to do?

I am not sure what went wrong yet.

I am not sure how we could have been so totally wrong.

Some say it is the BBV

Some say it is religious fanaticism

I have found nothing much to explain it in a clear way.

But one thing I do know

It is NOT our fault.
