Whether * won or not...is NOT the real issue here |

It also doesn't matter what the vote count is, or what the demographics were.. It doesn't even really matter that much that we lost senate seats and congressional seats..
Here's what matters:
MOST OF THE COUNTRY DOES NOT TRUST OUR ELECTION SYSTEM. (people who don't vote , people who DO vote only trust it when their person wins, but the second their person loses, their faith in the system goes too)
and it did not start with this election.
When people who do not even vote are asked "why?", they are very likely to say "Because my vote won't matter anyway"..
That is bad enough, but NOW we can add the 50% that DO vote, and at least half of THEM are questioning whether their vote counts..
People hate to be chumps. They take a day off work, or lose time from families, often waiting in long lines to cast their vote, and then walk away with a sticker.. The sticker is their ONLY tangible evidence of a vote..
They have more proof of existence from a Happy Meal.
When people cannot trust that their voice is heard, there will always be half a nation who does not respect or even accept the president.. That is dangerous.
