How about we call this forum
"It's OK, Guys, We're Right, So Let's Just Keep Trying Our Losing Strategy and Fighting About Whether to Move Left or Center, Because We're So Nice That We Would Never Do Anything That Would Actually Make a Fucking Difference, And Really, We're Ready For Exile or The Gas Chamber."

By the way, I'm still posting this under the "Fighting and Acrimony" Title.

I simply don't think that most of the people here understand what we're up against. These people are big-government, right-wing authoritarians that have convinced a large part of their consituency and the country that they're for "small government," and "freedom."

I just want to get this on the record. Hillary, or a "Southern Senator" isn't going to work. These people have control of the entire federal government, the power to appoint supreme court justices and a hell of a lot of firepower.

We were at our most organized, and most coalesced, and more organizing and coalescing isn't going to do anything.

They've propery de-centered our language and framed the arguments in this country with false binaries, logical fallacies and revisionist history. The reason that they did this is because it appeals psychologically to a totalitarian mindset.

For the record: We have to take the power out of the hands of the federal government, while we still can. Period. The "Starve the Red States" mantra or the Federalism idea are the most sound ideas that there are.

I think people are suffering from the "I-Can't-Believe-My-Lying-Eyes" syndrome. They've already passed the Patriot Act, they've consolidated power by inciting a near civil war, they've most likely killed democracy with their voting machines, they're killing thousands of innocent people in the Middle East and they OFTEN talk about killing us.

I'm sorry if it doesn't sound good and it keeps people from staying in their "3-bedroom in the cul-de-sac" where "they like it and their roots are."

But, you know what -- do what you want. This post is for those who already know what's happening and that "business is usual" isn't going to fix it.

I'm not trying to be angry, I'm just really frustrated. Complacency kills -- and not just "their" complacency.
