Inside Kerry Campaign: 'I can't believe I'm losing to this idiot' |
|
http://www.timesonline.co.uk/article/0,,3-1344943,00.htmlVery interesting (and telling) article about our candidate and the campaign he ran. Makes me regret EVEN MORE that we picked Kerry over Howard Dean.

If we want to win elections, a change in our primaries would certainly help. Missouri and Texas Democrats represent America more, IMO.

The Dean organization is still going strong with "more people than when (Dean) ended (his) campaign," says Dean. Looking over the smouldering ruins of the Democratic party right now, Deans org looks to be the most vibrant, the most connected across the country, and the one with the most growth potential. Their blog is still up and running (in contrast to Kerry or any other candidate), their organization is already looking forward and laying plans (Dean held conference call with supporters on Nov. 3), and DFA meetups are still happening every month.
I know you supported Clark, but at least consider helping out DFA now and support growing the Dem GRASSROOTS, if not Dean himself. From where I'm standing it is the best option for our party and our country.

There is no doubt that Dean "gets it." You don't build a house starting with the roof.
First you must pour the foundations.

The Times used to be fairly conservative but in recent years has moved towards the centre. I would say this article is probably pretty close to the truth and is not a deliberate hatchet job.

The Daily Mail is an extreme right wing paper, as is the Daily Telegraph. The Times does not come close to their extremism. Since Blair has been PM The Times has become fairly centrist. If this article had appeared in the other aforementioned papers then sure you'd have grounds to rubbish it out of hand. But The Times is a little different to them.
However you should notice that the primary source of the article is Newsweek. I don't know where Newsweek's politics lies.
And please stop slinging around the Freeper insult whenever someone suggests a different viewpoint. That's the kind of thing *they* would do.

Howard wouldn't have carried any more states than JK-JE did.
The result would have been the same.
Repukes would still have cheated.
Also, Howard didn't even have the votes in the primary. He didn't even come in second in most of them.

To me the largest blunder was the lack of rapid response to the Swift Boat lies. This is where he lost substantial ground that was never completely made up. And I say this as someone who thinks the election was probably stolen.
In the end, he will see that his inability to take decisive control was his undoing. A leader must lead.

If truely, Kerry repeatedly begged McCain to be his running mate, then it seem obvious to me that he was not sure of himself to begin with and was already accepting defeat before hand.

(AP) Democrat Jesus Christ lost to Jeb Bush today in another close election. Remarkably, Bush managed to carry Florida even though exit polls had indicated a 99.9% voter preference for Christ. Jerry Falwell commented that Christ wasn't Christian enough.
We ain't never gonna win until we fix the process.

Btw, in the CNN National exit poll only 7% thought intelligence was the most important trait for a President. :(

28. Don't let these bastards "clean up" make you lose sight of the truth |
|
Everything you are hearing right now is nothing other than the media trying to provide some opiate for shaky Americans all around the world, that in their heart of hearts, KNOW that Kerry should have won this thing.
They don't want to admit that our election process is broken, and most media feeds into that insecurity. They did the same thing (with more success) in 2000, when more people felt comfortable blaming Gore for the loss, because they weren't aware of what a BIGGER disaster Bush would be.
This is different.
Enough people were frightened enough that even if it was Mickey Mouse that was running against Bush, they'd vote for him.....and Bush STILL "won"
Fraud immediately comes to everyone's mind, whether consciously or unconsciously.
And don't forget, the Bushies were panicked the weekend before the election because even THEIR internal polling showed that Bush couldn't surpass Kerry. Even in Florida.
The media is obligated to make it look like anything BUT vote fraud though it doesn't pass the smell test.
The day after the election, do you want to know who I spent the MOST time consoling?
Republicans. That's right, Repubs.
They were devastated; even THEY thought Kerry had it sowed up. They even helped out by not voting, or switching their registration to Independent so they could vote for Kerry.
They are petrified of what that Idiot will do to their kids.
Pay no attention to those gloating, what I call "Bush Rebublicans" who have no idea of the coming storm. The more responsible, Moderate Repubs(that make up the majority of the Repub party) are well aware of what a 2nd Bush term means.
And they are scared.
I will say this again: Kerry lost because 6 million votes were NOT counted; most of them minority, democratic votes.
Just thrown away.
We will NEVER see another White House again until this is made an issue.
Republicans as a party need to be sued bigtime over this before blacks start getting lynched before every election.
Don't lose sight of the truth guys.
Listen to Greg Palast, Kerry won.
This election was stolen, no matter what the whore media tells you. Des

If we don't learn from this election, on top of what we learned in 88, 92, and 00, then we deserve to lose.

verbatim?
In the SNL parody of the 1988 debates, Jon Lovitz's Dukakis says, "I can't believe I'm losing to this idiot."
I'm not going to believe that Kerry said this. Thus, this whole article is B.S.
