Truth about our 2008 candidate |
|
We have no idea what the country will look like in 2008. We have no idea what kind of candidate the republicans will put up. It is way too early to decide what type of dem should run, because the country could be in a very different place than it was in this election. If Bush really fucks up, the country may be ready for a progressive in the white house, or it could be just like this and we'd need a centrist. In any case, we can't compromise our core values or our votes will be meaningless.

HUUUUUUUUUUUGGGGGGGGGGGGEEEEEEEEEEEE Defecit. Iraq war will still be going on, if we haven't declared victory and ran yet. Still no healthcare for all. Civil rights will be curtailed.
Anyone who is strong and unapologetic on these issues will win.

We will have a lot to overcome:
If 60 million have no health care in 4 years, they will blame it on Democrats for blocking tort reform.
If gas prices are at $4 a gallon in 2008, they will blame it on Democrats for blocking the Bush energy bill.
If Osama gets a nuclear bomb & blows up Dallas, they will blame it on Bill Clinton for not taking Osama's head when the Sudan offered it to him 3 times.
If inflation is in double digits in 2008, it will be blamed on those European leftists trying to do us in with the help of George Soros.
If China decides to stop tying their currency to the dollar & switches to the Euro leading to a total collapse of the dollar, it will be blamed on Al Gore & his secret deals with the Chinese in the 90s.
Republic Party - the party of personal responsibility.
