|
Have you been watching TV news since Black Tuesday?
I barely have, but I get the feeling it's pretty bad just from the spin I see on cnn.ccom andd Yahoo.

6. I managed 5 whole minutes of |
|
Countdown last night--and I adore Keith Olbermann. I just couldn't make myself watch it. Other than that, I've avoided it like the plague. And yes, I'm a news addict. I've been surviving on Air America and DU.

I listen to AAR for a few minutes here and there.
I deleted all my browser's news favorites except for the BBC.

I won't watch until I know they're covering some real stories and not just a bunch of gloating fools talking about a mandate.
Mandate my big white ass.

12. Only Countdown with Keith O. Daily Show and a little of Aaron Brown |
|
No more Tweety. No more Paula. No Faux ever(they weren't on my list to begin with anyway).
Might also watch Lou Dobbs once in a while.
Got DVD's to catch up on. Alias 3rd season, West Wing 2nd season(that one's going to make me blue), 24 3rd season(when it comes out). Also looking forward to Alias and 24's new season in January.
I might start to tune in when it's time for the '08 primaries - be interesting to see if the Repugs tear themselves to pieces. Be fun to watch them trash each other especially watch the koolaid drinkers trash Rudy.
And be interesting to see what Dems run.

16. I may watch some tonight, but it will probably be |
|
BBCAmerica, and not the news, but the three 1960s series, The Avengers, The Prisoner, and The Saint.
The very thought of watching the news makes me angry. I keep up with things, but only through newspapers and the Internet.
At least I can be sure that there will be no political attack ads on!

They would see their ratings go down.
They have nothing to teach me if it is all propaganda for the right.

22. I haven't watched any TV news... |
|
I've just been reading my local paper and getting the truth here at DU. I'll probably start watching TV news after January 20th, and then only PBS and maybe Olbermann.
I figure the US will really start going farther down hill by then, and I want to watch the Repukes come up with the answers as to why it's happening.

I feel lost when i don't watch the news. DU helps with certain news events but not with everything.
I have just been watching local news but they still talk at times about all this election stuff.

Kerry's eulogy and haven't gone back.
Only 2 things to get me back to watching cable news:
1) The impeachment hearings for George W Bush 2) The landing of aliens at the UN

27. I was hardly watching before the "election" |
|
and since then I have watched only Animal Planet, CSI and some X-Files reruns. I now get all my news from AAR and the various and sundry Internets. I have been a news junkie for years, but I just can't tolerate what TV news has become.

29. I am swearing off television news programs until at least |
|
March 2005. From now until the inauguration it will be fluff stories about Bush and the Republicans. After the inauguration they will portray him as reaching out. I don't need to see the whitewash.
I do listen to Air America so I will keep abreast of current events.

From now on I don't turn my TV to any outside news/information source as it means I might catch a glimpse of the chimp. Nope for me it's cartoons, Tom and Jerry, Flintstones, Jetsons, Yogi Bear, Huckleberry Hound and Yakee Doodle Duck. That's the administration I want to hear from for a while.
