Should our party become anti-woman?
If you want the party to become anti-gay, then perhaps we can and should turn the tables.

If you want to blatantly discriminate against a specific group of people, why not just take us back to the 20s when women & minorities were non-entities?

If you disagree, then stop fucking posting "let's ignore <insert this group here> and their rights".

7. OK. I'm being dramatic.
But those who post that the Dems should ignore specific groups of people are being reasonable.

I see.

12. They shouldn't ignore any groups
but certain groups will have to realize that they can't always meet their demands. Certain groups will have to realize that having a Democrats in the White House and Congress is better than having Republicans in the White House and a Majority in congress.

20. That's cause they don't face controversial issues
like abortion. Again, I'm pro choice. I've gone down the abortion road with a former girlfriend a few years ago. I think all women should have that choice. I'm just saying they (democrats) can't always meet your demands.

14. So what are you suggesting?
That I should just roll over and allow myself to be written out of the constitution?

That I should go back in the closet?

That I should just shut the fuck up and take what's given to me?

Fuck that.

16. No, you're being dramatic again
First of all, no one is asking you to do that.

And, every group doesn't always get what they want. I would've liked to have voted for a Candidate who did not support or vote for the war in Iraq and who did not support Nafta. Well, I didn't get that candidate and I still voted for John Kerry.

I just always ask what is better for the country, George Bush or John Kerry, Democrat or Republican. It's an easy choice for me.

18. I'm going to ask you nicely...
to please stop accusing dweeb of being "dramatic". It's a tired old stereotype used to put down gay people.

some posters have already started threads about how women are to blame for losing the election for pushing the pro-choice agenda.

that you picked the wrong group for your example on this thread since we are getting an equal share of the blame along with gay DUers.

15. Hell no!
We just don't have to tie women's rights with abortion rights. This was a conservative booby trap set up back when I was a kid in the 1960's, designed to divide and conquer by pitting women against children. we walked right into that trap by not only failing to recognize it, but also by making it a litmus test for gender equity.

24. Hell if we wanted to be like repubs we would have voted for Bush
What the hell good is changing our opinions to win an election? It's the progressive social changes we want to see happen that's important. If we act like repubs then there is no reason for us to exist.
