HEY SO-CALLED CHRISTIANS! GOD MADE ADAM AND EVE. |
|
And he made Adam and Steve too.
Not to mention Glenn/Glenda.
Hate the sin/love the sinner is BULLSHIT. Saying that is presuming God's will and throwing the first stone.
People who think like you are DEAD to me.

Not me anyway. I am a Christian and I am totally for gay rights and gay marriage. Clear enough?

2. Then you're not a "so-called Christian" are you? |

So-called Chrisitans claim to love Christ but sat and reveled in the gore-fest "The Passion", and have ignored all of Jesus' teachings against war, greed and passing judgment on others. The so-called Christians far outnumber the people who actually believe in Christ's teachings.
And the sick denominations and individual churches that promote the so-called Christian worldview also deserve to be roundly condemned.
Namely - the Southern Baptists, Rev. Phelps and his ilk, the Christian Reconstructionists and Dominionists, and now several Catholic bishops who had the nerve to attack Kerry even as their own diocese continue to cover up molestation among the priesthood.
Not only are followers of this corrupt version of religion NOT real Christians, they are Satanic in nature, IMO - and I'm an agnostic.

3. Your posts are meant to divide. |

I'm sure they will. Congratulations. It's time to start affirming, imho.

me from people who hate "Adam and Steve", and those who want to establish a permanent theocracy that requires all citizens to follow THEIR religion, then good.
I want nothing to do with people like that. That "affirmative" enough for you?

and those lines are old and tired. They haven't produced a win, so why keep repeating them?

7. You're right about that. |

They haven't produced a win. But then again, I've never heard them out of the mouth of ANY mainstream democratic candidate.
I've never heard any of them condemn the hypocrisy and twisted theology that is becoming the norm in so much of our country.
I've never even heard them so much as condemn the con artists posing as preachers on TV.

the most "divisive" part of my post- that Bush-supporting anti-gay religio-types are "dead to me". Is a fact. I will not associate with ANY of them in my personal life again. I can't even look them in the eyes. It makes me sick.

But no national candidate who hopes to win can or will feel that way. Clinton didnt feel that way. What was it Dean said about the pickup truck populace? Hard to swallow, but true. And I'm not playing holier than thou. Believe me, when one of these smug bigots gets on TV, I dont act like any Christian. But again, I'm not running, youre not running (that I know of), and no Dem running for national office is going to get elected by spewing judgment on conservative Bible-belters. Aint gone happen.

4. God *cough* also made Mary Cheney |
|
They say God *cough* doesn't make mistakes.
FWIW, it's difficult for me to accept the "God" concept. I much prefer Jesus, and I don't care if he was divine or not. He was an exceptional, enlightened teacher.
