1. Dean no question
He's the only one of them who has the guts to stand up for our beliefs and move our party AWAY from the right.

2. Dean
is a good choice for DNC chair. He's not a good choice to be our next nominee.

3. Dean!
Clinton was a master politician, but he also chose Terry McAuliffe.

5. Clinton (if you mean Bill)
only for the reason he would bitchslap around Eddie Gillespie whenever some Sunday morning show interviewed both chairs. That alone would be worth it.

7. Dean - no DC insiders please
Edited on Fri Nov-05-04 04:41 PM by GloriaSmith
I've been dreaming of Dean becoming the DNC chair ever since he lost the primary. I want Clinton to rest and take it easy for a while...it really wasn't that long ago he had surgery on his heart and I certainly wouldn't mind if Gore were chair, but I think it could be tougher for him to stand up to groups like the DLC and steer the DNC where it needs to go.

Basically, I don't want another DC insider in that position right now...no matter how much I adore the insider.

8. Clinton--first Dem since FDR to win two terms.
Edited on Fri Nov-05-04 04:38 PM by tjdee
He should be the first and only choice of that group.

People want to poo poo Clinton because of NAFTA, etc., fine.

HE IS A NATIONAL WINNER.

He deserves credit, and he lives up to his own hype. People want to talk smack, then inform me of another Democrat who won TN, AR, etc.

If he could have run in 2000, he would have stomped Georgie's ass too.

9. I'll take D
Doing away with the DNC and the DLC. They have done nothing for the party except move it to the right, and put it into the pocket of the corporatistas.

10. Clinton
by far the smartest and most politically savy with the most connections.

11. Dean.
But I'd prefer James Carville or Robert Reich over any of them.

Dean is a great frontman. Why waste him in a position where he'll never be seen?

15. Neither
Just what this party needs...DLC'ers going after DFA'ers.

Right now I'd like to know who speaks for this party. I haven't heard from Mr. McAuliffe since Tuesday.
