1. I agree. Him and Arnold are my new projects |
|
I heard that Joe Hoeffel was only running against Specter this year in order to position himself for a run with Santroum in 2 years. Hoeffel definitely will get the union and moderate support if thats the case.

7. I'd think that Rendell would be a more popular choice than Hoefel... |

8. Rendell for Senate in 2006 |
|
against Santorum would be an easy win.
Then the presidential run in 2008. Rendell would be a good choice for the presidential slot. A combination of years in an executive officer, plus two years in the senate would make him a better choice than anyone we are thinking of now. He comes from on of the three states that voted most heavily for Kerry this yer, the heart of the eastern Democratic belt, and they could not throw up the New England Liberal attacks. He would be the perfect candidate in both years.
He has more years of administrative experience than anyone else that we have considered putting up against him ,ad a bt of time in Washington would temper that with expereicen at the national level. It would be perfect.
I didnt think of it until just now.

2. Won't Rendell still be Governor by the time that election comes up? |
|
I'm not sure. And anyway I'm not too sure Rendell would rather be a Senator that a Governor. He's been the big cheese for a long time, Mayor of Philly first and then Governor of PA. Plus if he has any plans on looking at the oval office some day Governors have a much better chance then Senators do.

4. Fast Eddie is gonna stay the Gov. for a while. |
|
You're right -- he likes to be the big cheese. In the Senate, he'd just be one of many.
Rumor was that Chris Matthews was gonna run for Senator from PA this year ... maybe Senator Tweety can knock off Man-on-Dog-Sex-Santorum.
