Cut it the hell out.

Granted, I'm not a politically-savvy person like lots of you are, so my opinion is only based on observation.

Most of you seem to agree that Obama is not right for 2008, not in the Senate long enough. Yet just think about MLK would you? He was never an elected politician in America, yet his name is on a street in just about every American city today.

I recall seeing polls of majority support for Colin Powell to run for office, so stop with the "he's black, they'll eat us" shit.

This defeatist attitude about not running who we really are and who has the most passion is why we lose. No one likes boring.

I think Obama should definitely be on the 2008 ticket as VP. If not him find me a great female candidate...it's time.

1. People here seem to think experience is worth a shit in this country.
Edited on Fri Nov-05-04 05:22 PM by tjdee
THEY ARE WRONG.

Reference:

Arnie Schwarzennegger.

George Bush in 2000.

Coleman in MN.

Kerry had 20 years of political experience.

People don't vote for experience in this country.

Unless you plan on recruiting new voters who value different things, we really have to deal with people ACTUALLY VOTING.

4. Colin Powell Has Abundant Experience...
On domestic issues he's spot on....

He just happens to be in the wrong party...

Give Obama time to grow....

He will be on a ticket some day... Probably 2012...

3. i agree
Personality trumps ideas or issues.

Obama has the best personality in the party right now, and he hasn't served a day.

He could run tomorrow and win. I really think people underestimate how good this guy is.
