German friends says some younger Germans relieved that Kerry

didn't win. Because the consensus was that their government would be willing to work with a new American President and even possibly be willing to send troops to help us out in Iraq.

But with Bush still in office, as contemptuously as he has treated "old Europe", that if he asked for any help that they can comfortably tell him to go "Cheney" himself.

They also offered their sincere condolences to us and said that they are very sad for us and the rest of the world.
