Enough with the "who should run in 2008?" threads already! |
|
First of all, the best candidate for four years from now may be someone who isn't even on the radar at the moment.
Second, we have two MUCH MORE important tasks ahead of us:
1) Getting at the bottom of any possible fraud, so that even if it's too late to salvage this election, we can have some hope for honest elections next time around.
2) Protecting our current Congresspersons and Senators in 2006 and hopefully, adding to their numbers.
Right now, I don't give a damn about who might run in 2008. Spending any time wondering about it is just an idle game, a distraction from what needs to be done BEFORE 2008.

It's always good to plan for the long term. We need to set specific goals, even ones that extend to 2008, and we can shape our congressional ambitions around them. 2008 is more important than 2006, or at least can become more important if we plan for it starting now. Don't mourn, folks. Organize.

just throwing names around is pointless.

True. It is fun, isn't it? For political junkies, anyway.

since I'm beginning to think my chances are as good as someone like Kerry.
Edit to say: Not because Kerry didn't win but because the votes don't count. So if the votes don't count, I think I should vote for myself.
