i'm really sick of them. have been for over thirty years when three members of my own family became born again. i know these fuckers through and through and i've been telling anyone who'd listen that no matter how much you give or concede to jesus freaks, they'll always want more and more until they have the whole enchilada.
unfortunately, no one will listen, because 99% of americans believe this horse shit as truth. now we are seeing the results of republican collaberation with these maniacs to get votes. same as in 1980 under st. reagan. i knew it then and i know it now.
you cannot deal with these people folks, they don't understand your words because their tiny brains have been re programmed.
but we let it happen because WE SHARE THE SAME IDIOT RELIGION WITH THEM.
we give in to their idiocy because we surmise that basically they are good people and jesus really is the answer, but that's all bull shit folks and it's time we wise up.
i've seen some democrats suggest that we need to reach out to bornagains. fuck that noise, we need to FIGHT THEM, and before we can we must give up our idiot religion.
amen

While I can't stand Jesus freaks or religious zealots of any kind, since I'm a reality-based atheist, I disagree with some of your assertions.
First, only 90% of our population is even any kind of Christian, and the majority of THEM are not fundamentalists.
And I don't share their religion. I don't truck with superstition and mumbo-jumbo. It's just not my thing.
And I agree that we don't need to reach out to hardocre fundies as they are beyond hope, but we should be reachhing out to more mainstream Chistians with a platform that retains all we believe in, but in a way that alienates them a bit less.

3. We need to dump the issues that are killing us. |
|
We all know what they are. Give them back to the states and let's win.

I want to alienate them MORE. No appeasement. We can't please them. Kerry is a more moral man than Bush by a million miles. More moral, stronger and with character. What in the world could we do to alienate them less?

5. Yeah, the atheist ticket. |
|
That'll get our country back.
I'm a Christian whose faith informs my liberal politics. I can't see how it helps the Democratic cause to lump me with RW fundamentalist nutjobs.
