Am I the only one who is tired of the "We need a Southerner

The South only will vote for someone that talks like them?
Oh so no one in the Midwest has problems with getting a decent job? Or the Southwest have none of their kids getting hooked on drugs? Or the Northeast has no race problems? The Northwest has no problems with public education? Nobody from the Pacific areas goes to church?

How about we run someone who understands that you need to talk to everyone in the country like they all have the same problems because guess what: THEY DO! Some areas have worse problems then others but just running someone from one region to exclusion of every other region is pandering and insulting to ALL Americans, not just southerners. It does not matter where the person comes from as long as they can connect with regular Americans.
The south has no right to demand that only southerners can be president, because there is more to this country then the South.

from a red state because we need a candidate that can connect with both Democratic voters and voters we aren't winning right now.
