I'd rather have someone with me half the time than none on the time....
Arlen Specter has basically said he won't nominate reactionary judges...
Some wing nuts want to remove his judiciary committee chairmanship...
Susan Collins and Chuck Hegel have come to his defense... I'm sure Linc Chaffe and Olympia Snowe feel the same way...
I am going to e-mail them and encourage them...

an argument against supporting moderate republicans is that Bush needs them as a scapegoat.
Suppose Rove wants to keep certain hot button issues like abortion unresolved, so he can milk them in future elections? He can hardly blame Daschle anymore, maybe he needs Spectre and the other RINOs to kick around.
