My feedback to Democrats.org
Here's what I wrote in reply to the email sent out by Terry McAuliffe and Democrats.org

***********

5. Was it a good experience for you?

Grassroots work is good but we need to commit to media change if we really want to teach people the difference between truth and lies. Truth is powerful, but it won't go anywhere if the only people telling the truth and providing facts are the people writing books, the online blogs and one small radio station that is only available online in a few cities.

6. How would you make it better?

Three priorities for the Democratic party, in my opinion.

Immediate Need:
AGGRESSIVE pursuit of BlackBoxVoting and polling oversight by non-partisan enforcement.
I have seen enough to raise deep suspicion of election tampering. This MUST be pursued on all fronts, legally, politically and in the media.

Second Critical Need:
Democratic Partisan Media Outlets.
If we cannot quickly reinstate media regulations concerning requirements for factual reporting and non-partisanship, then we must encourage Democrats everywhere to donate to and support our own media infrastructure. We MUST combat the Republican Noise Machine, and the naive expectation that established news sources will do their job even if it reflects poorly on Republicans should have been addressed at least four years ago.

Third Need:
The third leg of this triangle I am suggesting is to focus on finding and the Presidential and Vice-Presidential nominees who have strong skills to move the public with a love of truth and justice. People like John F Kennedy, Martin Luther King, Eleanor Roosevelt. You get the idea. I realize people like this come along rarely, but you should be actively searching for these qualities.

7. Please share other thoughts and comments you have about the 2004 election and what Democrats and the Democratic Party should do going forward.

Please see above.

1. You are just being given an opportunity to vent.
The DNC does not care what you think. Your comments will follow
your votes into the dumpster.
