"A little patience..." Was Liz Edwards talking to us in code?
We know she and C. Heinz come here. Hundreds of others must. Not saying that DUers are a symposium of geniuses (God no) but the perspective that a committee of thousands can offer cannot be matched by a handful of advisors. Crunching data, catching mistakes. Making connections.

I am comfortable with the pace at which the fraud data and election tallies are being compiled. It's realistic and reflects professionalism. Good analyis takes time not hysteria. But when the facts are in and if they confirm suspicions, we must act a la the NYC RNC protests. Right now, I look at stirrings in Seattle and Oregon as a preamble. No doubt in my mind, this pimple just may to come to a head, with or without Kerry and Edwards.

1. No, it wasn't code. There's no "there" there.
She was giving solace, comfort. There's no secret plan afoot to keep dimwit from a second 4-year term. It's a done deal, and the person who comes to grips with that awful reality can begin to gird herself/himself for the awful things to come.

You're not waking up from this bad dream anytime soon.

2. I am not expecting this election to flip flip but it just seems that with
the GAO letter, the Nader/Badernik recount rumbilngs, the funky numbers being crunched by various statistical guys, this can't go away completely. At least the black causcus has to weigh in.

3. no, she thinking along these lines
"Whenever I despair, I remember that the way of truth and love has always won. There may be tyrants and murderers, and for a time, they may seem invincible, but in the end, they always fail. Think of it: always."

4. Yesterday, there was a protest in
Hollywood, CA as well. There were about arrests and the march was to the military recruiting office.

5. Quote w/ comments
...today I want to share something inspiring, part of a letter from Thomas Jefferson. This is from the new Bernstein biography of Jefferson. Jefferson sent the letter in 1798 after the passage of the Sedition Act:

"A little patience, and we shall see the reign of witches pass over, their spells dissolve, and the people, recovering their true sight, restore their government to its true principles. It is true that in the meantime we are suffering deeply in spirit, and incurring the horrors of a war and long oppressions of enormous public debt. If the game runs sometimes against us at home we must have patience till luck turns, and then we shall have an opportunity of winning back the principles we have lost, for this is a game where principles are at stake."

--to me it's implication by quoting Jefferson as well as the sedition act. She's saying this has happened in the past.
She is saying that our government is being compromised. Why DU is fantastic with all of the other blogs. We can examine how this is occurring and raise hell about it.

Look at what the Sedition act did. Here is a summary.

From http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alien_and_Sedition_Acts

The Alien and Sedition Acts were passed on July 14, 1798 under the administration of President John Adams. They were supposed to protect the United States from "dangerous" aliens, but were used by the Federalists to stop the growth of the Democratic-Republican Party.

There were actually four separate laws making up what is commonly referred to as the "Alien and Sedition Acts":

1. The Alien Act authorized the president to deport any alien considered dangerous.
2. The Alien Enemies Act authorized the president to imprison or deport any alien associated with any nation the United States was fighting in a "declared war."
3. The Naturalization Act extended the duration of residence required for aliens to become citizens, nearly tripling it from five years to 14.
4. The Sedition Act made it a crime to publish "false, scandalous, and malicious writing" against government or government officials.
