Hypothetically Speaking .............. |
|
Let's say.... hypothetically ... you were involved in a contest that you have an execellent chance of winning.
Let's also say.... hypothetically ... that your other major contestant and rival in the contest was going to cheat to win.
You know they are going to cheat. You know HOW they are going to cheat. You have documentation from some that were going to help them cheat and their plans. You have absolute proof. Undeniable. Ironclad.
Now.. hypothetically... which would be the best course to take.
1) Come out guns blazing and pre-empt the cheating, force an honest contest and in the process discredit your rival, while energizing their fans and possibly causing your HONEST defeat.
2) Let them cheat, and then come out guns blazing IMMEDIATELY after the contest, show them up as being dishonest, discredit your rival and possibly be looked on as 'jumping the gun' even if you are correct and get the outcome of the contest reversed.
3) Let them cheat. Let them bask in their 'victory', give the impression of 'accepting' the outcome. Let them show their 'true colors' and their disrespect of not only the contestants, but the contest as well..... All the while preparing an un-emotional, factual assault that not only discredits your rival and causes a reversal of the contest, but SO DEVASTATINGLY DISCREDITS your rival's organization and shows the corrupt underbelly that had plotted this that it effectively 'takes them off the board' for any other contest in the forseeable future.

1. The political judo thing again... |
|
The problem is that it seems as if by the time we get anything rolling as a counter-attack the damage has already been done, and we just look like sore losers.
I think it's best to pre-empt. No more risky stuff.

2. You're right. Kerry pulled a LIHOP. |
|
You cannot indict someone for a crime, much less convict them, until the crime is committed.
Kerry was hoping it wouldn't come to this. But it did. Now he can do what he does best.
Remember how the media and bush have already praised Kerry. What, they gonna take it all back when he exposes them?
I love hypotheticals, especially when they're reality-based. ;)
*fingers crossed, praying fervently*
