Those Supporting Marijuana Legalization Have Not Yet Been Blamed
While neither party endorses marijuana legalization in their platforms, there can be no doubt that the repubs are much more rabid about prosecuting the corrupting, and evil war on drugs. Being a pragmatic person in this winner take all system, and having many things in the Green Party platform with which I differ,I'll educate on this issue, and not squawk,or threaten to leave The Democratic Party over it. How about you?

3. I'd like for everyone to stop the blame game and start getting even
We need to attack the GOP rather than Dems. The GOP are the evil ones, remember?

4. YET being the operative word, you dope-smokin' hippie
(I AM KIDDING OF COURSE!) :hippy:

I think that decriminalization is still quite big among some of the more libertarian "free market" Republicans-- i.e., the ones that run the party. However, they don't dare touch it because of the Fundy footsoldiers that are responsible for them winning elections.

IMHO most middle-americans could care less about decriminalization of marijuana or other "soft drugs". Hell, many of the farmers grew hemp in the 40s to help the war effort, and still have wild hemp on their farms (like my in-laws). They are more concerned about the issues that neither party addressed this year: overwhelming corporate control of their lives, health care, keeping jobs in America, living wages, etc.

6. Thank you for bringing up another thing for me to be blamed for
:P

I'm southern, pro-choice, pro gay rights, and I think marijuana should be decriminalized or made legal. I guess I can't win so I will just take another toke.

10. Well, this is the worst thread of the young week
marijuana legalization was in no way tied to the Kerry campaign, you are grasping at straws here.

And that I know it didn't enter much into the campaign. In my opinion all the blame lies with the right wing media machine with their insults misrepresentations and outright lies running 24/7 repub infomercials. That is what must be overcome for the sake of every issue. I don't blame anyone else, and I certainly don't blame those supporting marijuana legalization.
