Tonight on FX at 2am "The Rapture"

This is a fascinating film everybody should see. No easy answers in this one for religious Christians...


A story of a young LA woman with a very boring job. At night however, she and a male partner cruise the bars as swingers. After a time, she begins to believe that a conspiracy exists and decides that she must become a born-again Christian Stars: Mimi Rogers, Patrick Bauchau, David Duchovny (1991)

That's not a very good description. The important part is after the couple become devout Christians. The end times begin to unfold, and a chain of events that lead her to question her faith brings her to a heartbreaking crossroads.

Great, important flick.

Moving and thought-provoking.

I'm amazed it's even on in the current climate.

But I will say that the way the Rapture is depicted really is stunning and moving, though there aren't any fancy special effects.

I actually have it on videotape. Very thought provoking and interesting. Mimi Rodgers gives a great performance.
