Yes, there's just a touch of sarcasm there. And Dean was my guy in the primaries!

In fact, you'll see no one that ran for Prez this time around in any new positions anywhere. Bad taste in everyone's mouth and all.

Goes against the notion of a "Democratic Party reboot" or whatever we're telling ourselves this week.

Is Howie the best guy to run the DNC? I don't know, maybe. But it'll never happen.

Dean himself is conflicted about it, he may not even seek it if he wants to run for president. He may also want to spend time buiding DFA. Also, too many moderates in the party don't want Dean.

Anonymous dem sources are not to be believed where Dean's concerned. He's deciding whether to run again and he can't if he takes this gig. He just has to tell me where to send the check :)

13. I sent Governor Dean that birthday

card today, madfloridian. It's kind of strange in a way( I've never done anything like that before)
..but I thought it would make me feel good to do it so I did and it did!

And I thanked him as supporter in the primaries on through to DFA..for the good work he's doing for our Democracy. I told him we were still in shock that Kerry didn't win but that wouldn't deter us from fighting until the tide turned our way, Someday!

There is still time to send a card..if it goes out Monday it will get there by Wednesday..if not, it doesn't matter if it's a day late.

I found this blank card that had a "dove" painted in the center of all this artwork..and an envelope that didn't even come with the card but that was extra and it had the landscape of the Planet Earth all over it..I thought it was very appropriate.

19. Zidzi, here are pics of two quilts made by supporters...both in HQ

I just happened to think of these today when I was talking to someone. I think it is rare that a politician would bother to hang them so prominently. The first is the blogger's quilt and the 2nd is called grandma's quilt....every bit put together by DFAers and shipped there.

I hope that Dr. Dean continues to work with DFA. I think that he needs to be a voice independent of the DNC. He's an important voice in America and he needs to be able to speak the truth and not compromise. God knows we really need a strong voice to fix this murderous, profit based health care system that kills hundreds of thousands of people by malign neglect and greed.
