See, those of you who are young think that this is the first time we've faced these cocksuckers - but it's not. Believe it or not, there was more fear back in the McCarthy days (That's Joe, not the poet McCarthy). We're tracked in a way that would make it impossible to defend yourself against a kangaroo court with all the posts you make, the books you buy on charge cards, the telcons you make which are probably recorded somewhere, the video cameras running everywhere.

You know, I was in an email exchange with someone and it started picking up some disconcerting undertones. He was saying "You know, I would go fight for your right to speech" or something to protest the war, I forget the exact phrasing, but the implication was that he would fight for me and my rights, but he thought I wouldn't fight for him and his rights, and that I was enjoying them without being American enough to defend them. BULLSHIT! I'll gladly fight in a war if I think my rights or country are at risk. The difference here in Iraq is that I didn't think they were are risk and I still fucking don't (though given the way Bush has mismanaged the war, they might soon be).
