11. DNC voting is open and people are reportedly punished for wrong votes |
|
The DNC is the most un-Democratic oragnization in the world. How many other organizations require people to sign their name below their votes and keep public records of who votes for whom? Some people voting for the wrong candidates for DNC have reportedly lost jobs and money as a result of how they voted.

6. I just don't know how they will ever overcome... |
|
I am at a loss as to how they will ever recover from this. Leading up to the election, the Left was more unified than it had ever been. Now, the defeat of Kerry has shattered that unity like a china plate dropped on the floor. How can the Dem leadership keep the energy and loyalty of the Dean supporters, the new young voters, the average Dems-by-default (I'm in that category), minority interests, while they still espouse a mediocre, appease-the-middle/right message? The Democratic leadership needs to get out from behind their desks in their elegant Washington, DC offices and reach out to the grass roots part of the Party; to the footsoldiers who poured blood, sweat, and tears into the campaign. If there was a prior concern about apathy, you haven't seen anything yet unless the Democrats act, and NOW.

I'm definitely not happy w/ the DNC leadership. Terry McAuliffe has not served us well.
I really miss the late Commerce Sec'y Ron Brown. When Secretary Brown was head of the DNC, he was very effective. He made us believe we could win again--and we did, with Clinton. And he was right in the Republicans' faces. When the Repugs had their 1992 Convention, Ron Brown was holding daily press briefings, giving his taken on events at the RNC.

8. New leadership IS coming |
|
Jeez, guys, Terry is leaving. A better poll would be to name his replacement. Election is in February.

9. Man, this stuff is hard to interpret! But based on these poll numbers ... |
|
... I think I'm detecting only minor discontent with the DNC. Obviously, a tiny bit of tweaking will make everything all rosy again.
