here's a thought -- let's promote the arnold amendment
At least for awhile. Arnold's going to be utterly unacceptable to the fundies, particularly with his support for the Calif. stem cell initiative and some of his other social issue positions. Why not help keep this issue alive so that the repubs waste their time and money fighting among themselves...build up distrust, etc. At the end of the day, I don't think the amendment can get the support it needs, but why not have some fun with it?

3. well, personally..
I actually believe this is something that we should look into doing. Not because of Arnie, whom I think is an idiot, but because it makes sense to me.

However:

I love to see repubs shout and yell and cry "It's not fair!" While at the same time supporting a ban on allowing two individuals who love eachother to be recognized as such under the law. I also enjoy the fact that their Xenophobia apparently only extends to party lines. Because lets be honest folks, do you think they would support this in the name of fairness if it were to possibly advance the career of a Democrat?

oh what fun..

4. Amend for Arnold
Why? Because he's liberal. Why? Because the law is outdated. Why? He's a force of nature. I am a Democrat. I have voted for Clinton 2 times, Gore once, and Kerry once. I can't believe Kerry isn't fighting. I am stunned and shocked. I live in CA. I LIKED GRAY DAVIS. I hate the way Arnie got to become the Governator. But he's a friend to the left. He would probably get my vote for pres. I think he's inevitable. FLAME AWAY.
