7. Well, let's see...here are a few good reasons...
1. Her absolute derth of personal integrity and credibility.
2. Her abject incompetency as a civil servant and administrator.
3. For the sheer politics of lobbing a salvo against the Chimp-in-Chief and everything he stands for.

10. How about incompetence, lack of judgment, and a complete
lack of confidence in her due to her repeated lying to the Congress and people of the United States.

18. This administration is not going to nominate a good person
If they want their administration to look bad by nominating a bunch of shitheads I say we let them. Besides we'll look bad if we take this to the barricades. Save the poweder for judicial nominees. The court is much more important than shrubbies advisors.

9. No. I cannot cite one. In fact, i don't think it's ever happened.
But some are only confirmed after a nasty political fight. Remember Ashcroft and how his credibility was justifiably tarnished from the get-go.

12. Ashcroft Passed 58-42
and there were four or five more Dems then.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Condi pass by a huge margin...

That being said I think she's an awful choice....

She's part of team that alienated a good part of the world....

17. Bottom Line
In the current administration, SoS is purely a ceremonial position anyway--they never negotiate with anyone. So, she is perfectly qualified.
