Take Action, Organize.
MoveOn is having a series of house parities this Sunday at 7 pm to plan how to go about advancing a progressive agenda.

MoveOn message: "this Sunday, we're throwing a nationwide party to debrief the election process, celebrate the incredibly hard work so many of you did, and talk together about the next steps for MoveOn and the progressive movement. It'll be fun, but it also may be the most important round of house parties we've held yet, since MoveOn's direction for the next few years will flow from the feedback we receive.

We're especially looking for people to lead the way by hosting parties. All you have to do to host is provide a space for folks to meet and a speakerphone or computer with Internet access and speakers so that you can link up your party with our nationwide conference call. We'll hold your hand every step of the way."

Find a meeting in your local area

Can you host a Future of MoveOn house party? Sign up now at:

http://action.moveonpac.org/future/newmeeting.html

If you can't host, but still want to attend a party in your area, you can sign up for one right now at:

http://action.moveonpac.org/future/

And please feel free to bring friends who are interested in being part of this discussion but haven't been involved with MoveOn specifically before. The more, the merrier.

3. Win or Lose...Take Action Against Bush Henchman Gonzales
Sign and promote this effort, we got thousands to sign for the recount, this is just as important.

Please forward this to contacts far and wide...and as fast as possible! A true show of will by the people is needed.

Please help us petition the nomination of Alberto Gonzales for U.S. Attorney General.
He will most likely be confirmed, but let's give him a harder time than our "representatives" will!
If you thought Ashcroft was bad, fasten your seatbelts...

Just click, read, and sign!

4. Top down talk
Well, taking random action without a concerted effort is like using a nuclear bomb to drive a nail. If you're lucky, the nail might be driven in (not sure to what).

This is a great opportunity to decide on a concerted course of action - something that has been missing in the democratic party for a good while. Personally, I think the first step is for democratic leadership (ultimitely we the people) to get a straight message. We stand for this set of ideals and have these values. If the leaders of the party refuse to do even that, then the party deserves the extinction that is headed its way.

7. Didnt say it was a bad idea,
but I just think that it will probaly lead to little. If you are strong enough to take action and have at least a shred of intelligence, that action will not be random at all.

8. IMPORTANT PETITIONS
Here are 3 important petitions every activist should sign.
I know petitions are useless, but they stopped the FCC from further loosening media ownership rules when they showed up in carton after carton. So give it a shot, what have we got to lose?

Sign these petitions and send them on to everyone you know:

Against appointment of Gonzales
