Carville should head the DNC
People want to see WWF-style politics and he will give it to them.

makes perfect sense - NOT. Screaming in a rally makes you unhinged. Breaking an egg on your face shows passion. :)

6. Have you ever seen him w/ his wife on Meet the Press?
They're on at least once a month, and he becomes an absolute poodle in her presence. He puts his eyes down, his hands in his lap, and gets all nervous and quiet. He fails to call her out on her bullshit lies. All they (Repubs) would have to do is put her in any time he was going to debate, and we'd go down for the count. They wouldn't even need Rove.

And besides his occasionaly lack of style is his substance problem (and I don't mean abuse). I mean, because he was associated with the decidedly MOR politics of Clinton, I do not know that Carville has it in him to lead a visionary campaign of the type that I am working for.

Bold. Vision. Now.

14. Something has changed with him, though.
Edited on Tue Nov-16-04 01:37 AM by proudbluestater
I don't know where I saw him, but he was not nearly as quick and articulate as he used to be. I wish I could remember where it was, but I was concerned about him, that he was not the man I remembered him being.

He reminded me of those Bush debate videos where you see the one from Texas and the one from this year. Something has gone that was once there.

15. We don't need WWF politics
Those people screaming at each other on TV are hurting honest political discussion. Bar room brawl politics is part of the problem. America needs more than a 15 second, cursory analysis of complex issues.

He's a smart guy but when he started work on Crossfire (or whatever one he's on), I lost a lot of respect for him.

18. I don't want him there.
Moving to the right - trying to become Rethuglican right is not going to help this party win. And, right now, in view of the current circumstances, we need a dynamic progressive to clearly articulate the principles we will stand by, no matter what. I think that Howard Dean is the guy. Will they pick him? I certainly don't hold my breath.

17. Sleeping with the Enemy
Whether it's a moderate or liberal is less important to me than that it should be someone who is truly behind Democratic principles. I don't see how you can be married to That Woman and even be behind small "d" democratic principles with any sincerity.

21. NO WAY! CARVILLE HAS LOST IT TOTALLY!
I use to have the upmost respect for Carville. But to say he should head the DNC I think is a very bad idea. I feel Carville is more damaging to the democrats lateley than helpful. I personally don't know what his problem are but I can only think that his wife is starting to get the best of him because he sure isn't nothing like he use to be. Carville would bring along more problems to the democrats and that is something we sure don't need. So I have to say I strongly disagree with you when it comes to him.

22. Give it right to Matilin or better yet, Cheney!
bypass Carville's wife and associates; go straight to the top, cut out any backroom/bedroom intrigue and let Dick be the chair of our party. Right now!

I haven't figured out the upside for us yet, politically, but what fun!

24. No way!
I have absolutely no proof but I am convinced he is a mole for the Republicans.

He couldn't have cared less that we lost this election - he was laughing and conceding Ohio and the rest of the race before even Kerry had a chance.

He is not someone to be trusted.

I don't trust the "Ragin' Cajun" anymore.

His own fame, his ego, are more important to him than the Democratic party.

27. He called Jon Stewart a pompeous ass, but yet
he continues to "act" for the media, pulling in big bucks.

And if anybody questions how or why he can be a Dem and live with such a RW Repuke, after Jon Stewart's interview on Cross Fire, I believe most News Commentators are in it just for the money and it IS like WWF style politics - ALL FAKE - they argue and give people reasons to be divided, then go out to dinner with each other.
