3. Right now talking about the CIA purges
says he's been a lifelong student of leadership. He says basically that the president is telling the country to bend over and take it.

4. comparing bush to clinton
Clinton engaged and wanted the benefit of your work. He extracted it from you in a sort of socratic dialogue sort of way. not always pleasant but he got the info. Bush says he doesn't have to explain - sounds like he thinks he's a king.

9. He really is. I think he still takes what * is doing to the country..
personally. And even though he wasn't able to unseat him, he's not giving up. He won't sit down and shut up. We need a lot more leaders like Wes. But WTF are they?

8. you can't substitute loyalty for competence
had competent people when they dealt with the Balkans in Iraq the litmus test for the people running the show is loyalty instead of competence.

11. Clark on values now. A lot of people in the south can quote..
scripture, but don't practice their faith. Wes knows how to lay it out. Any other candidates who run in '08, needs to take pointers from Wes, not just on national security, but on articulating and selling Democratic values.

12. He's talking about growing up in the south and going to church
reads the bible at night ususally says prayers before he goes to bed. he says that you find in the south that lots of people can quote scripture but not everybody practices their faith. he says those that have more should help those that have less and the democratic party is the only party that practices that.

education is a public good not a private good. so that the community as a whole can grow and prosper and be democratic.

public health is a public good.

these are values we should reflect. we should be proud of our values because we practice what we preach.

HE GETS IT!!!!!!
