The Irony is Killing Me!
I posted this in GD, but thought I'd share it here.

Christians are fleeing Iraq

I cannot believe that we are actually liberating and democratizing that country.

Does anyone think when and if (that is a big when and if) the US leaves that country that religions, other than Islam, will be allowed?

How do you think all the US christian fundamentalists are taking the fact that their brethren are getting kidnapped, killed, or are having to leave Iraq, all because of their great christian leader, bush?

1. They're completely oblivious
and they think they're all Muslims.

They've no clue.

Christian churches and individuals have been targeted since August.

Some people reckon that there are more PHD's in Iraq than in America. Many of them were assisinated at the beginning of the occupation. The middle class has largely departed the country.

You have to read the Iraqi bloggers to know this stuff.

http://riverbendblog.blogspot.com (a very eloquent 25 year old woman)
http://raedinthemiddle.blogpsot.com ( he's really mad)
http://afamilyinbaghdad.blogspot.com (faiza is a middle aged (raed's) mom who is very opinionated. scroll down past all the "????"'s (presumably Arabic text) to the translations of the more current entries
http://justzipit.blogspot.com (Salam Pax's newer site)
http://where'sraed.blogspot.com (Salam Pax's older site-really informative about the run up to war)

Oh and Salam Pax visited D.C. over the past several weeks and wrote a travelogue for the Guardian. . .Read all seven days if you have the time.
