Is VerifiedVoting.org Legit? NM page not updated since 2003 |
|
and it doesn't have a link to the voting systems in that state. Does anyone have the file that shows what voting systems are in place in NM during the 2004 elections? I hope this isn't a GOP front group that delayed a decent paper trail lobby in Congress.

1. They are very much legitimate. |

I ran it for 9 months until a fallout over policy. However, as with many of the volunteer organizations that have risen to oppose paperless e-voting, they are short-handed, and probably still underfunded. We ran without a dime for 8 months, and when we finally started fundraising, it was tough to pick up $200 a day.
Once the core team exploded, Ellen (followed by John Gideon) launched www.votersunite.org.
And no, they are not a GOP operation and they are not opposing the passage of legislation - indeed, they have helped to compose stronger legislation at both the federal and state level. We busted our asses to get HR2239 passed.
