I doubt the Democrats will win many future elections on a national basis. Here is why:

1. They think that Hollywood always tells the truth.

2. They get assistance at election time from foreigners who hate Middle America.

3. They think that Kofi Annan is some sort of messiah.

4. They hate gun ownership.

5. They hate any independent thinking.

6. They are intrusive and want to run your private life. Here in California they are pushing a mandatory GPS system in ALL CARS so they will know where every car is at all times. I am NOT kidding.

7. They are friendlier to the illegal alien, the convicted felon, and the welfare fraud than to the middle class taxpayer.

8. They want to re-define "marriage" to be "Gay marriage."

9. They think the common man is stupid.

10. They hate religious faith.

11. They want to use courts, not the popular vote, to force their beliefs on you.

12. They think you are a lousy parent and they want to indictrinate your children.

13. I you do not march as they say, they think you are ignorant, or a redneck, homophobe, bigot, or religious fanatic.

The idea is to convince people who don't already agree with us that we're right. To do that we have to fight them on their own terms, not just wait for them to come to ours of their own accord.

There's no point just talking to other liberals and coming up with arguments that they find convincing. To win people over we need to find out what the arguments that the right find convincing are, and point out where the holes are.

I also find it's much more stimulating to read articles that I disagree with than just to go through nodding my head in agreement.
