Forget the WHITE KNIGHT (He/or she's not showing)
Warner can't save the party...

Kerry couldn't save it...

Even Clinton couldn't save it ultimately...

NO one man or woman can do it...

We are already caught in the old 'romantic' 19th century claptrap of who is going to be our next champion to deliver us from evil...

Keep dreaming, because it isn't going to happen. The system is fundamentally broken. Everything is under the complete control of the other side including the media.

What more do you need to know?

What further evidence do you need?

It's going to take a revolution (democratic or otherwise) to clean the system.

Quit dreaming about 2008 and do something now...

(sorry just my rant for the day)

1. Our biggest concerns are
potential Supreme Court appointments by * and the 2006 elections.

NOT 2008.

That is way too far off to be concerned about now.

2. Right/Wrong
There is no one white knight. We, the grassroots, are the white knight.

3. And when you consider that Clinton
(as pointed out by another poster in another thread) was the one who gleefully signed the bill that allowed the media to go the route it has, one has to wonder WTF side he was/is on. Not democracy, that can be safely said.

4. The people need to save themselves...PERIOD.
Screw leaders who save us, they ultimately fail. The list is too long Regarding leaders/saviors, let's start and end with Clinton. If he had not indulged his post mid-life urges with 'that woman', Al Gore would be serving his second term and there would not have been a 911. This is without dispute.

49% (and it's probably more like 52% given election fraud!) is a pretty good number to start with. Back out the non-evangelicals on the other side, look at the Montana model (something we can all live with) and we're in good shape for just having our butts kicked. Get congress back, set the stage for 2008 and fix the damn thing.

To paraphrase a great movie line:

"Leaders, what leaders, I don't need no stinking leaders."

Corporate America controls the media and we get manufactured news.
Corporate America now controls the voting machines and we get manufactured elections.

5. Exactly... forget leaders... even ideology
these are 19th century notions...

The believers (non-humanist) are making war on the rest of us. Read 5 minutes of one of Tim LaHaye's books and you can see this.

It's time to fight back...

6. I'll check the book out. You should write one called:
"The End of Ideology and the Last Evangelical" -- nice concept. How about rationalism, key feature of the first American Englightenment.
