THE FAITH AND VALUES COALITION - Recruitment begins!
From the Falwell Confidential e-mail:

RECRUITMENT BEGINS FOR FIRST ONE MILLION COALITION MEMBERS!!

Here I go again! I am today launching a campaign to enlist the first one million charter members of The Faith and Values Coalition (TFVC), a 21st Century Moral Majority. I am asking you to be one of those historic charter members without financial charge by visiting our new website- www.faithandvalues.us.

<snip>

HERE IS THE FAITH AND VALUES COALITION AGENDA:

(1) The confirmation of pro-life, strict constructionist U.S. Supreme Court justices and other federal judges; (2) the passage of a constitutional Federal Marriage Amendment; and (3) the election of another socially, fiscally and politically conservative president in 2008, along with conservative members of Congress in 2006 and 2008.

<snip>

However, because we need immediate funds to launch TFVC and to initiate a nationwide four-year voter registration campaign in 225,000 churches, I am asking you to consider making a secure-online credit card contribution of $25 or more at www.faithandvalues.us. Your gift will assist us in also launching this voter registration campaign designed to ultimately bring ten million new “faith and values” voters to the polls in 2008.

<snip>

Do it today and get a Charter Member card and a "I vote Christian" sticker for your car!

We are the goon squad and we're coming to town ....

5. Oh yes.

I can see it now. "I Vote Christian" on the car, right next to "Hillary! '06" and Spitzer for Governor. That would be good for a few double-takes.

edit: Of course, I'm not sure it's worth the $25 investment. I prefer swatting the mosquitoes to feeding them.

OTOH, if they spend at least that much direct-mailing me for more cash over the next four years, it might be.

3. Another 10 or 12 years and the American Taliban
will be in complete control. The biggest threat to our freedom and our Constitution comes not from militant Islam but from fundamentalist Christians. Make no mistake they want their interpretation of the bible to be the Law of the Land. They will keep pushing and winning because Americans who oppose the theocracy are afraid to appear to be 'anti-christian'. They will get the things they want because very few people will stand up to them. They believe that the US is a 'Christian Nation'. They believe that the bible is the LITERAL word of god. They believe in the apocalypse and they want to see it come about in their life time. The first causalities will be education, science, reproductive rights, gay rights and the separation of church and state. We will see censorship in movies, radio and print media. It's going to get much, much worse.

These people are DANGEROUS and they are pulling the strings in DC.

4. I truly believe we need to go on the attack with these people...
America's educational system obviously hasn't been working very well over the last several decades.
cause these people have a severely dysfunctional understanding of American and World history.. who knows how many are out there.
it just kills me...

I'm beginning to think they all need therapy... not perscriptions... intensive therapy.

They hate themselves..its sad.

6. I hope Fall well doesn't expect this to be a tax-exempt organization?
- Enough of this crap. If they want to play politics and push a particular candidate...then they should pay taxes like any other lobbyist group.

7. Why should he worry?
The rightwingnutball churches preached voting for Bush directly from the pulpits with no ill effects. Why should Falwell worry about his new tax exempt PAC?
